Recently the blu ray eye in my disk drive of my PS3 stopped working. How much would the bulb itself cost to replace? Minus the cost of hiring some one to repair it or sending it to Sony. I don't need a specific price for my certain model type, just an estimate of how much it would cost.

buy new PS3 which is 300$USD.
that's about 30% of the price.
id highly suggest you get new PS3.
