Do blu ray players generally take a long time to load up a disc?

Am new to the blu ray thing and have not used a machine before. Does anyone know the average time it takes to load a disc on a blu ray machine in relation to a DVD?



Just worried incase my machine is sick or this is the general time it takes to load anything!

Sometimes it seems to take forever. It is not just you or your player. I was sure that my Blu Ray player had crapped out when I loaded Avatar in the tray the first time, but it played ... eventually. I didn't time it, but it must have taken at least 45 seconds.
