How do I play blu-ray disks on an acer ASPIRE 6930G laptop?

It definitely recognizes the disk but I'm not sure how to get it to play it. I'm sure that it can play blu-ray disks. How do I play blu-ray disks on an acer ASPIRE 6930G laptop?
For Acers with Blu-Ray drives: you should have Cyberlink PowerDVD BR edition installed for Blu-Ray movie playback. This should work out of the box with no additional configuration or installation from you as PowerDVD BR edition is one of many programs Acer preinstalls on Blu-Ray equipted PCs. So you should just have to pop in a Blu-Ray disc and PowerDVD BR edition will launch and play the movie...

Since you're posting this question I assume that's not happening for you, so the question is why? Two most likely possibilities:

A. Acer failed to preinstall the PowerDVD BR edition software (have a look through the disc that came with the Notebook, give Acer a call)

B. You were sold 6930G configuration that does not have a Blu-Ray drive. Acer actually manufacters 14 different configurations of the 6930G and the majority of those DO NOT have the internal Blu-Ray player. it's possible someone sold you a configuration that does not have a Blu-Ray drive in which case you should return/exchange the notebook. If it's Blu-Ray capable you will see the Blu-Ray logo somewhere on the outside of the drive door or on the Notebook case. How do I play blu-ray disks on an acer ASPIRE 6930G laptop?
The simplest thing to do is look at the face of your disk drive, if it has the Blu- Ray logo then it is a Blu- Ray player.
