How long does it usually take to load a Blu-ray movie with a regular player, NOT a PS3?

My PS3 tends to load movies pretty fast even when they're blu-rays so should i just buy another PS3 or a regular, cheaper sony blu-ray player?? But the answer i'm really looking for is how long does take to load a movie, particulary Avatar since that one seems to be the longest for everybody??How long does it usually take to load a Blu-ray movie with a regular player, NOT a PS3?
Your PS3 is still among the best Blu-ray disc player that Sony makes, I would not get a stand alone player from Sony. Panasonic is a much better choice and the new model they have now are among the fastest loading in the market. I still use my old Panasonic BD-10 which is one of the first Blu-ray player in the market and have had no problem, along with a Pioneer player. For picture and sound quality there is no better that a Pioneer. Even the new model from Sony (can't remember the model, 470) can't compare. Blu Ray players are notorious for taking forever to load the movies (10 - 20 seconds, which may not seem like a lot, but we are living in an instant gratification society).



Actually, the PS3 Blu Ray player is one of the quickest loading Blu Ray players on the market. I'm not sure why they couldn't incorporate that technology into their standard Blu Ray players. I have the Sony S-550 player and it takes about 7 - 10 seconds to load a Blu Ray disk. But, that's fine with me. I got it used on eBay for about $120, and it looks and works like new.
